The Brookwood Community

During the summer of 2023, I had the amazing opportunity of being the Social Media Intern for The Brookwood Community, a community of adults on the spectrum. With my responsibilities including creating and managing citizen profiles, documenting events, and implementing new strategies to enhance the community's social media presence. I developed personalized citizen profiles by creating personal relationships with community members and ensuring accurate representation. By attending community events, I was able to capture photos and videos for compelling and inclusive content that showcased the community's importance. Also by generating creative media content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, I was able to reflect the community's interests and values. This internship offered a unique opportunity to contribute to a positive and inclusive community while gaining valuable experience in social media management and community engagement.
